Flint,
I don't have any idea. Give the Corps of Engineers a call and I'll bet they'll be able to fill you in!! You can contact Perry Lake's project office directly at 785-597-5144.
What are they doing to the spillway at Perry.

They were doing routine maintenance on the spillway, ensuring everything worked the way it is supposed to. It is done about every 10 years and all of the reservoirs. Sorry for the sideways pic, never figured out how to flip it, but you can see they lowered a bobcat down there and are scooping out rocks and debris that made it's way into the basin.

Ok that looks good and a good picture. Are they gonna remove that jetti or let it wash away.
There were some remnants of two old coffer dams from previous maintenance work that they cleaned out. Everything from the current coffer dam to the tube was supposed to be cleaned down to bedrock. I would imagine that the little bit left will be removed since it isn't armored with rock or anything. It might already be gone, I haven't driven past in a while.
