Is there any way to know for sure what day they actually stock them besides calling around to try to find out? I find it difficult to find anybody who knows at some of the locations.
Kansas trout season starts today! They are already pulling them out of the El Dorado Trout Stream.

Generally the state park or agency who is in control of the water body is willing to tell you what day they are expecting their next stocking at least ft. Riley and kanopolis are
Koppper,
I don't know of any better way than calling the fish bio that oversees the trout stocking. Park staff may not always know the schedule. Dates can change at the last minute due to hauling equipment complications, weather, or conditions at the water to be stocked. Posting future stocking dates online can lead to disgruntled trout anglers when the dates aren't followed EXACTLY!!
Yeah, I can imagine Craig. I know stuff happens that's why I like to call first. Just mostly wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it some where posted or something - like a listing of dates that were actually completed or something. No biggie though.
Thanks for the replies guys!
Anyone fished Lake Shawnee this fall for trout? We tore them up out there early this year but I've never tried it in the fall out there. Just don't want to make the drive if they aren't cooperating, since there isn't much else to fall back on out there if the trout aren't biting.
