Default What does it take to become a fisheries biologist?

    Greetings,

I'm quickly approaching the end of my junior year of undergrad and have been thinking about what I will do after I graduate. I definitely plan on going to grad school and getting my masters in some biology-related field, but am a little uncertain of the field of work that I would like to go into. I've been considering programs that focus on fisheries management, aquatic ecology, limnology, etc. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you a few questions.

How competitive is the job market for a career like yours? How soon after graduating did you find a job?

What do you like most about your job? What do you dislike?

What hours do you typically work?

Where did you graduate from, and what kind of degree did you earn?

Do you have any suggestions that might help me to decide if this is the right field for me?

That's all I can really think of off the top of my head.

    Thanks,

    Cole
