    Default Crappie spawn

We had a post this week from a new member asking about female crappie post spawn. He is finding quite a few fish still with eggs. The egg sacks are somewhat discolored and was wondering if this was an indication of a failure to spawn? I thought I had read somewhere that some females will spawn but still have some eggs left over that will be reabsorbed?
    Can you enlighten us?

Jeff JMO but you can just delete the Ask the Biologist and Ask the Conservations Agent MO Sub- Forums

Since Jake left when is that last time a question was even answered? Months, years?

    Jeff
Have him ask it on the Kansas biologist forum. Craig is good about replying to readers. He isn't on every day but will reply as soon as he sees it.
