    Default Cane Creek Crappie-Napper!

Well I have to admit something to all you Arkansas folks. I came up to your neck of the woods after some of those Cane Creek monsters. I had the best of intentions not to kill them but bring them home alive and stock them in my pond. :D

14 out of 20 made it home alive and 7 were stolen lol. (of the 6 that died 5 were iced and eaten and 1 will be mounted)

I want to say thanks to Chris (CEB), Jerry (LaStumpjumer), and Willy (Lucky) for helping me out and letting my fish their water. Like Jerry said it is a special lake with special fish. I feel honored to have been able to experience it. And don't worry I left 3 crappie in there. One for each of yall. :p

Very nice read and glad you got some home alive. (And who said the reason LA doesn't fall off into the gulf of mexico is because Arkansas sucks?) :D

Great trip for sure. I often find that the trips or days that are the toughest but yet you succeed are the most gratifying. Cane Creek is definitely a trophy lake. You might not fill the boat with a limit but what you do catch is premium quality. We gonna have to figure out how to get some of that genetic pool here on Greeson.

Sorry to hear someone in need took some of your stuff without asking, you don't suppose they were from another state do ya lol.

I guess most of us have had things taken while out enjoying ourself's, that kind of stuff makes the hairs on my neck standup.I guess they think we do not need it and just take it off ours hands.

A arkie taken things from another arkie is something else but a arkie taken things from a out of stater is sorta on the low end of the totempole or in great need for those things.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea I'd like to say most people understand what an honor and privilege it is to fish on your great lakes. I spent four days fishing CC and released everything I caught on the spot. Not one fish was harmed. In addition, I met fishermen from several other states that also released everything other than something they intended to have mounted.

It would be easy to justify by saying " he bought the license and fished within the law". True enough however it is my belief that a guest should show respect and restraint when visiting other states. The large majority of Sportsmen will agree.

Thank you for sharing your great state!

I personally think that Magician came, had an true crappie fishing dream experience and went hope with a smile on his face and memories that will go with him the remainder of his years. As far as his taking some home...good for him.

I wonder if the Park Rangers ever found the thieves that stoled his stuff?
