Thanks for the report Jerry. Looks like they may be getting ready to finally start to turn on. May have to give them a try next weekend.
My brother and I went to Cane Creek today. It was slow, it took me all day to catch 7 crappie. But the ones I caught were quality fish, the smallest was 11.5 in and the largest was 15.75 in. The 3 largest were 2lb 7oz., 2lb 8oz., and 2lb. 10oz. and a guy gave me 2 crappie and a big bream. All were caught on rosie reds. Caught them in the standing trees, from the edge to the middle. So maybe they're getting started.
Today's haul.
The 3 largest.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Good looking fish...those are some nice slabs..way to hang in there...I went to Greer's and caught 4 nice ones in the first hr. and then the wind changed and it clouded up and I couldn't get another bite. When the rain and thunder started I said heck with it and headed to the house.
Nice Jerry. I will be over in the next week or two I imagine.
Jerry, Congrats on the catch, even though it was slow for yall, those are really nice ones.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Nice report from Cane Creek Jerry looks like you guys did real well. Them are some petty slabs with the dark green.

Went back to Cane Creek today, and it was slower than yesterday. Ended up with 5 with the largest 2lb. 8oz. Caught them on rosie reds about 4 ft. deep. Water temp was 58 at daylight and 63 when I left. Don't know where I'll go tomorrow.
