    Default Water level on Conway

To all that have plans of fishing the crappie tournament on Conway, be very careful and cautious, The Lake is abnormally lower than the regular water control level generally observed for the winter months, which is 1 foot below summer pool. Right now it is nearing 2 foot low. I dont know if there is spillway troubles or if the Game and Fish let to much water out. But there are stumps in some of the boat trails and you will bump them when idleing your boat around. There are also some trail markers missing. Lake conway has claimed many of trolling motors and lower units. Dont let it get yours to, use caution when navigating. The lake will remain low if we dont get some rain soon. The water temperature is reaching nearly fifty degress during the day, the bite is really fixin to get good.

Thanks for the warning. I was out over the weekend and could tell the water was down. Have to be careful running the boat lanes. Hate to lose a lower unit!

You got that right, but I would not trade all the good fishing day on that lake for all the good days I have had any where else.:D:D The management of lake Conway Leave a little to be desired.

Yes normal for Conway, but if it has been a few years there has been major work done in marking trails, it is more navigable I would say, but you still have to be careful, especially with the lower levels
