    Default 101 degree crappie

Actually wasn't that hot after 6 p.m. water temp. was 93. I caught 27 from 4 to 7 foot deep kept 15 no biguns just big enuff. I couldn't stand sitting in the air cond. any longer. Had a new jighead design to try too. Needs a little more mod. to equalize it but I think it will be a great trolling jig. Caught 7 out of 15 with it verses my "hot" hand tied jig for this lake. 3 of em swallowed it. They must've liked the looks of it. Talk of big cats and crappie got to me.

today it only got to about 102 or so. caught about 35-40 but only 20 good keepers. Wish we would have a cold snap down to about 90. Even though there were only 2 other boaters on nine mile today and 1 was a pontoon working on overheating problems.

Maybe a day or four them storms will cool us off some. Won't be able to go again till mon. or tues. Be hard to give up them cats though. You have a tough decision to make Nimrod.

A water user lake in between Greenwood and Booneville. We call it Washburn because of the community located near it.
