    Default Fish cleaning stations

Some lakes have fish cleaning stations . I hope to see people take better care of them . Some don't take the time to clean up when they are done . I visited some friends camping this week and was sickened by seeing green algae all over the fish cleaning station they used . I heard it had been that way all summer . I tried to clean it and even took a power washer. Looks some better but really sad how the COE is letting our parks get in such bad shape. We need to do our part. Would call and complain but figure they might just shut it down instead of fixing it.

It is so worth the time to arrive home with cleaned fish. Good advice.

I have yet to find a state park here in Ohio that has fish cleaning stations. It certainly would be nice.

Most Kansas reservoirs have really nice cleaning stations that are well maintained and kept clean. Parks and wildlife does a great job maintaining the camping sites and lake amenities in Kansas.

The COE areas and state parks of MS aren't maintained like they use to be.

I am certain they would take any volunteers and I think park rangers start at 30 to 40 thousand a year depending on location. It takes tax money to run these facilities and the entry level jobs or campground hosts that clean these facilities are hard to find people for.

I believe camp hosts bid on the jobs

For camp host jobs a person would sign up through the COE or state parks. When an opening comes up and it's your turn they will call. There are campgrounds run by the wildlife n fish department and forestry service too.
At a north Mississippi COE campground the host couple were from Madison, WI.
