    Default Boiling Crappie

Surface temps running close to 90 some days. Chasing open water fish suspended on the thermocline. Fished with same 1/8 oz jig I used last several trips. Poor jig lost it's eyes and paint off the head but has not come apart on the tying .Figure this one Takeum jig has caught over 300 Crappie not counting trash fish ( Whites , LM Bass , and Catfish ). Fished around a good friend and his wife learning livescope. Had a good visit and caught 60 Crappie. I kept a good limit and gave it to them as they could use them. Shared a little garden produce to go with their fish. Hope to get back to fish along with them again this week. Think I got them pointed in the right area.

Took Mike today but wind was rough . Started out catching a few . Moved several times and finally winds died a bit. Went back to starting spot but fish had disappeared . Worst day in a long time . He took home a good mess but guess everyone has a slow day sometimes .
