I've really enjoyed these low wind days here lately. Mainly just fishing Nimrod. Fish have really been picky about taking artificial. Follow it up but not taking it. I've talked to several good fishermen and I agree now is about the time to carry a few minnows along to "seal the deal."
I've been doing pretty good with just jigs but may grab some minnows just for a change. I have an 11 foot Huckabee rod that I like to pitch a minnow on a 3/16 oz. pink jighead. I can pitch this easily 20 feet when fish are spooky. I like seeing them chase a bait down from several feet away.
Supposed to be low winds in the morning so I'll be at it again. Good Luck to any one going tomorrow!
