I am convinced that to catch crappie consistently on Beaver Lake, one must be intermediate level or higher. It is not an easy lake for beginners to figure out. And I've heard others say this: that due to the unique underwater structures of the lake, along with the depth, they just don't behave the same as they do in lowland lakes like the ones in Central Arkansas, or places like Mississippi and Texas.
Anyway, I've been out 4 times in the last 3 weeks, for a total of 15 fish. I caught 4, 5, 3, and 3. Tried different spots and different depths, and nothing really changed. For the record, I grew up running trotlines for catfish and trolling for white bass, along with trout fishing. I did not get into crappie until I started watching some Richard Gene The Fishing Machine videos back in 2020.
The folks I've seen doing well were Rich-Boy Fishing (Livescope).
