    Default Nice Day on Nimrod

Got a late start but had a nice day to fish. Hardly any wind until noon or so. Caught and released a 1.96 and then ended up catching a limit of decent sized slabs.

Nice mess of fish. Curious, with all that high water you guys have, how deep were those spawning males? I really think those dudes are pretty when they put their tux's on.

Yea RL, catching them in 19 FOW where it's usually 5. Most were down 18 feet or deeper. I never really got near the banks as you had to weave thru the flooded brush. A couple of friends were cleaning a box full of smaller males that they caught jigging back up in the trees in 6 FOW.

Thank you Jack. Yes of all the nice lakes around me, Nimrod has the nicest cleaning stations. This one, at Carter Cove Park, is the only one that's fully enclosed with a heater and a big fan. We have 3 stations total on this lake. Blue Mountain has a nice one too.
