AGFC lakes will be our last rights of state, steerable control in the next 10 years. After that, it will all be out of reach.
This is what folks are asking about gates going up . I figure it is same reason they were put up at Nimrod a few years ago . When budget for federal government was not passed the nonessential services shut down .Till it was passed the refuges and government parks were locked down. Wonder why they waited so long up there ? Really stinks if it ever happens again as we paid to build them with our taxes and now pay for the right to use them .

They closed the primitive camping area at Anderson Branch at Nimrod. Pulled the sign down last week. Also, they're putting in heavy duty steel posts and gate at Carter Cove park. Park attendant said that they were building a road to Crapshooter's Point for the new primitive camping area before the water came up. That's the clay banks that can be seen from Hwy 60. Sounds like they are preparing to be able to lock down Nimrod and Blue Mountain if needed.
