Nice mess
We're expecting a couple inches of snow starting tomorrow afternoon. We had decent temps and hardly no wind this evening so I took the opportunity to take the new Ranger 188P out on Nimrod. Met two gentlemen at the ramp at Carter Cove from Searcy. They said it was there first time here so I gave them a few safety pointers about the low water level and told them how to get down to the main lake area.
Boat ride was still a little cool at 11AM. But the sun being out and no wind made it pretty nice to fish. Found lots of fish in 5 to 7 FOW. Caught several roamers but also caught several on the tops of brush piles and stakebeds. Started out pitching larger plastics but ended up doing the best with a 1/32oz. J & D Outfitters hair jig in a grey/grey/ chart. pattern. I use a 1/4 oz egg sinker about 6 inches above my jig to help get it down quicker.
I was fortunate enough to get my limit of pretty nice slabs and I got to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Still learning how to insert pics. Don't know how to rotate pics yet.
