Bad bad muddy water sure messes with my attitude

Yesterday it was super muddy in a cove I was fishing. Saw lots of fish on livescope but no takers . Several boats came and went . One local told me I was using wrong color . He did not stay long . Sun popped out bright and they fired up . Caught a quick limit on a dark mostly black/purple with some gold glitter 1/8 oz Takeum handtied jig . Once the sun got covered with clouds and winds reversed the bite was over . Normally on livescope they will look at a bait even if they won't bite . I think it was so muddy without bright sun they had trouble seeing my bait . I had tried my normal muddy water orange/chartreuse glow in 2.5'' . Nothing worked so I kept piching the handtied . Sun and wind was only difference .

Next time it’s like that switch to a twister tail or a spinner. I’ve had that work.
I guess the vibration gets their attention

We don't get mud in NC as steady as yall do out there, but usually through the winter, you can count on some color. That said, right now one of our rivers chain of lakes is mudddddyyyyy. I fished Monday and caught fish while the sun was out. When it clouded up, they shut down like a switch. I love mud when it's bright and sunny.
