    Default Beautiful December day

Got away for a jig flippin trip today . Only fished 4 hours . Not up to a full day of fishing after being sick last month . Livescoped over 75 and boated 54 keepers . Released all but a limit on Same red Huckabee rods . They bit Southern Pro Umbrella tubes utc11 purple/chartreuse and Takeum hand ties . I can't wait to get out again but weather forecast not looking good .

No Sir , actually share with older friends , relatives and neighbors . I gave these to a neighbor to cook for his brother that is in last stages in his battle with cancer . I assure you they don't go to waste . When I cook fish for myself I'd rather have Flathead Catfish .

Ever winter fish Lake Conway? Back in the day, while stationed at Little Rock AFB, I would break ice and put my boat under the Mayflower bridge and tie off on one of the bridge legs. I would drop tubed & hand tied jigs ( head down, tail up) on the bottom and reel just off the bottom and hold. Very light taps when they bit. Hooked some good winter Crappie 1.5, 2 Ib slabs every winter doing that. Those were some great memory's . Don't know if the fishing is still good there? That was the early to mid 90's. Assuming Yes. Hunted Duck there on Bell slough also. Great mess of fish you got there.
