    Default Hello from NWA

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I’ve lurked for years but decided to sign up to really dive in and learn some more.

I live in Bentonville and have been crappie fishing heavily for 2yrs. I grew up strictly bass fishing. Used to go out almost every day in the summer with my grandpa in Bella Vista when I was a kid and when he passed away he left me the boat I went with him to buy new when they moved up here. My son is 4 and loves to go out with me and there’s nothing better than thinking about all of the great stories I made on that boat with my grandpa and sharing that same boat with my son. Will be upgrading to something a little bigger and faster in a year or two but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I got the crappie bug a few years back and last year I think I only went bass fishing a few times after work. Typically you’ll find me on Beaver on the weekends with my wife chasing these dang fish that we all go crazy over. I love that we have such a strong following in this state.

I got into it like most people just fishing the spawn. Last year after getting a live scope I decided to really go after them. I got some rod holders and pulled cranks in the summer months. I thought it would be boring but to my surprise that was extremely fun and relaxing. I plan to do that again this year and I just picked up some rods last month to try spider rigging. I enjoy trying to learn new ways to catch these fish. I finally got
my boat setup exactly how I want and I’m excited to put it to work.

Anyway, I hope to stick around and contribute what I can. Look forward to meeting everyone on here and if you see us out in the old tracker on the lake, come over and say hi! Looking to branch out to try If anyone wants to go, looking to branch out and try to learn Grand Lake this year too.
