I live in HS and Ouachita is my favorite place in world to be on water but if interested in crappie I’d recommend Greeson in current cycle. Easy place to mark brush - all these diamond lakes are crazy low right now so be careful and pray for rain.

No live scope here. Just have to work it down under the dock slowly till I bump into one

I have an minn kota edge right now, I am going to upgrade to a Terrova with spot lock but the model I need is sold out everywhere so no spot lock for now! I do have side image at the back of the boat so learning that as well to search for cover and brush

    For me….

The beauty of crappie fishing is the simplicity. I fish out of a small, flat-bottom aluminum jon boat. No electronics and no trolling motor. I use very few different colors. Almost always on a 1/8 jig head. 10-foot jig pole. Small oxbow lakes off rivers and the actual rivers sometimes.

Time to hit them hard. The water is warming up fast. Some are in10-12 feet of water. Hungry females getting aggressive
