First, put the pictures of the stringers of slabs out of your mind unless you want to drive 150 miles or so. Lots of 9 -10 inches but other than private the big ones are elusive. Toughest quadrant in the state.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Norfork has some good crappie fishing and some dandy’s. Fished Bennett’s bayou area today smallest fish was 11 inches
