Per the conversation you and I had at the boat ramp last week. I believe less fish are being harvested with livescope; however, more bigger fish are being harvested. It comes down to the fisherman. At the rate it’s going there will be less bigger fish, but even the smaller fish with good genetics will spawn. At the present time the concern is 2 to 3 lb crappie. If guys don’t regulate themselves without AGFC getting involved, soon the discussion will be targeted towards fish weighing 1.5 to 2 lb. I don’t have Livescope yet but it is in the plan for me. I love to multipole because of the non stop action. I am not at all against AGFC regulating how many fish over 14 inches that can be kept. My wife and I do not eat fish that’s been frozen. Therefore if I catch(and keep) 10 crappie in the 1 to 1.5 lb class, we have a great meal with leftovers. Tournaments do not hurt fish populations. Fisherman do. The true tournament angler actually sets the hook on less fish now more than ever before. They simply “scout” for big fish with livescope and save those fish for tournament day.
