    Default A mess


    Hit up horseshoe early Saturday morning found a few fish still spawning in about 4ft if water in the Lilly pads and trees fish were scattered out as they usually do after they spawn never could quite put a solid pattern on them.     Nice ones... I was out and about out there. Looked like there was no more room for anybody else to park their truck and trailer at either ramp. Lots of folks from Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, and even saw a couple from Texas. It sure is interesting seeing people come in from all over to fish that small lake.

    Great job!! I caught a good mess of late spawning crappie over there a few years ago in the lily pads and around the cypress tress. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been over there this year, gotta make a trip soon. I hope they've fixed the roads going through Hughes, last time I went there I hit a big hole hard and I guess cracked one of my leaf springs. It of course finally failed completely on my next fishing trip. You just need to get back over there and do it again soon.
