My son is friends with the young man. He caught it two or three weeks ago. Funny thing is anyone from Benton could tell you where he caught it based on the picture. That spillway has huge pine trees all over it.

Some small lakes or ponds are where the true giants come from most times . Biologists have said the Crappie usually get stunted in small bodies of water . This overcrowding is a limiting factor, they eat everything available . Then one will jump in size on a spawn and usually eat his kin and then things so big they can't . Reminds me of some small lakes where there are thousands of poor hammer handle Bass and a few big fat healthy 4 to 8 lbers , Bet D10 or one of the others could explain it better .

    Hey all,

Confirming that this one was caught on Lake Pauline outside of Benton, Arkansas. Lots of misinformation floating around Facebook saying it was caught in Kentucky or Tennessee.
