Default Grocery shopping for a friend

Went grocery shopping for friends yesterday .Gave them a limit of Crappie and released several more in this high water . Could not have caught them without live scope . Huckabee 13' Phantom jig pole , Timmy Tom insert jig heads and Purple/Chartreuse Umbrella tubes dipped in Slab Sauce. Thanks for the photo , hope you enjoy the groceries.

I use manuals . Several different ones Rapala , Berkley, and a hand made knife that a friend made . Most important keep them sharp . I try to give most of my limits away in the rough or release them anymore . Carpel Tunnel from fishing and filleting .I now feel that I need to give a few back to fight again .

Live at Nimrod and Dardanelle Lakes but fish Blue Mtn and several other small lakes in the area too . Depends if your looking for a country setting near one of the lakes or big city with small town atmosphere like Russellville .

Hey Crappie Assassin, have you ever timed yourself filleting a big crappie? I filmed a friend last week filleting one start to finish in about 58 seconds. Seemed pretty fast to me. Just wondering how fast you are?

Never timed it but does not take long . I get more fillet off one than some . I cut close to the bones and around ribs instead of through them . Had several say see I am about as fast as you we got through about same time . I laugh when they ain't ribbed out their fillets . my way you are done no ribbing needed . The size of fish and if knives are sharp are variables .

True story here . A friend was visiting and I gave him some big slabs . He is disabled Veteran and has health issues .He told me he cleaned his own fish so I gave him mine . Returned later and he said hope you don't mind '' I traded those big ones to the guy camped next door for some small ones , big ones hurt my hands to clean'' . From then on I fillet them for him when he visits .

Haha, Never heard "the big ones hurt my hands" before.

You do yours the same way he does, and the same way I do. I'm just not near as fast. If I can figure out how to post the video from my phone I will.

I'd like to see a video of you (Nimrod) filleting crappie the way you do. I use an electric, but have been thinking I could do a more precise job with a manual.
