Default East wind they bite the least

Don't know about that east wind , but sure makes fishing tough with white caps and rain . Kept a limit and released several more . Only one over 2 lb today . No where to hide from the wind and rained too . Same Huckabee Phantom 13 ' rod , purple/chartreuse umbrella tube on a Timmy Tom insert jig head . Boat noise in the waves kept them spooked .

I agree, E wind and N wind my catches go way down.
The only exception I’ve seen is when they move shallow to spawn and the water level stays put or rises slightly. Then they keep on biting

Looks like a good mess to me!
Wish I had gone, but I’ll melt, and it was raining cats and dogs.

Actually no , never noticed a difference in bite on wind direction . Wind speed yes .
