First crappie over 16'' in 2020 , only 2.33 lbs . They weight light in Nimrod . Said I was going to stop keeping so many fish this year and released all my fish today . Caught them on same Red Huckabee rods , the 13 ' Phantom swings em . He bit purple/chartreuse umbrella tube on a Timmy Tom insert jig head as usual .

I commend you for cutting back Nimrod. No reason to set a new world record every year for the most harvest crappie by one angler. The only down side is all those neighbors and friends you used to give fish to, might get mad at you! Ha ha ha!
In all seriousness, I hope more crappie anglers start throwing some back (sport fishing) with the increase in technology and technique. I’m not saying it isn’t alright to harvest a limit. Just no reason to do it every time you go. Just my opinion.

Already had one get upset cause I turned them loose instead of stopping and dropping them off . But really people need to remove a bunch of small fish from Nimrod . Several other lakes I fish have good ones and numbers are dropping . Afraid this upgrade in electronics can't be good for the fish populations
I don't mind one bit releasing fish. If we want fish to eat, he better not bite, but if I'm just fishing......he'll most likely get looked at, maybe get his picture took, and then he'll be swimming again really soon.
