    Default Livescope- Hair Jig

I hear of a few the guys stating hair jig will trigger a strike when a rubber jig will not. Anyone running a livescope to testify if this is accurate?

I have livescope and I fish with my son in law at times and we I'll have one on and he'll have the other and I haven't noticed any difference really. The biggest difference is I'm usually running the scope with one hand and holding my rod in the other and he's just watching the graph and beats me to the fish 75% of the time. So what ever jig he has on is usually the one that does the best. So far he loves livescope, because I paid for it but he catches most of the fish from it, he thinks it's a pretty good deal based on his experience. LOL

I use small Hair white jigs when nothing else works. These little babies dominate at times...Name: Screenshot_20191115-184246_Messages.jpeg

It's funny you bring this up. Tuesday, my buddy and I were chasing crappie and it was slow going with plastic. I tired a small hand tied (ugly) red and white hair jig on above a tube to attempt to engage any bluegill below the dock. Long story short we managed 50 nice fish, most coming off that jig. My buddy even tied on a red and white tube that was almost identical, but the hair jig outfished it. There were other potential factors, but it was certainly interesting.

We had several over 2# with a 2.5# kicker.

Nice mess of black crappie! You never know what might work. Good job.

Been having good luck with the 1/32 oz. Crappie G hair jigs. I ordered several colors but have mainly been using the "Silver Bullet". Gray body and tail and unpainted head.
