    Default Bubba Blade Electric Knife

Just an FYI for anyone wondering. Bought one of these from Academy, didn’t even make it to 100 fish before the gears stripped out. Maybe a fluke but for $120 I expected a lot better quality. It did perform pretty good just not for long.

Dang, I bought one because American Angler has had my pro model for warranty replacement for over 4 months.

I bought the Rapala cordless last April and have cleaned thousands of fish with it. No problems. Crappie and catfish. Probably a few more crappie than catfish. Thought about going to the Bubba blade whenever this one kicks it but maybe not.

I was about to send one off for warranty work. It crapped out after a couple of months of use.

All I can say is good luck with that. I sent mine in and waited a month and never heard anything from them. Then I spent an entire day trying to figure out how to call them. If you call the phone number listed for warranty work, it's an Arkansas number and when you get the answering machine it doesn't say anything about it being American Angler it just says you've reached the voicemail Maria Melgoza, and since they closed the plant in Walnut Ridge, you think the number has been reassigned to someone else. But that is who you need to talk to. Her email is [email protected] I emailed her back again today but haven't heard back from her. Like I said it's been 4 months now and nothing from them but an email that basically says they are far behind because of closing the plant in AR and they will get to it as soon as possible. But I think they should have been able to get to it within 4 months. Apparently not.

I had one of the cheap $30 rapala ones and it had literally cleaned thousands of crappie and was still working until it got beat up in an accident on my way home from fishing. Thought I would try the bubba because I like the handle on the regular knives but turns out they are not good with moving parts. Name: IMG_0266.jpg

Fyi - The american anglers have some contacts that can get temporarily separated. Sometimes you can gently tap the knife on the cutting board and it will run again.
