Anyone catch em? New to crappie fishing. Literally know nothing about them. Went out and caught 4. Tough going and the more I talk to people the more I figure out how secretive crappie fisherman are.

Just stay on here and be patient. You will learn a lot by watching the other boards. You will get some help before long. Guys may send you a PM with tips rather than post on board for your local area. Lots of good fish to be caught right there on your home lake but your right those guys are pretty tight lipped. Get to know some of the guys on here in your area. They will help you.

We did pretty decent this past weekend. My cousin and I kept 41 I believe (just what I kept in the pic). Some real nice fish. I’m new to it this year and there is so much to learn. Just be patient and spend time on the water. It’s nice to get tips and pointers on here but most of what I learn is trial and error out fishing. Join local pages and start making friends. Everyone likes talking fishing so just pick up what u can and apply it as you go. Some folks can catch a crappie in a mud puddle too so always remember that lol Name: IMG_0887.jpg

For me, this time of the year I have to keep reminding myself to slow down. Seems the slower my presentation the better.

For good info ie: how ? when and where , this site has great info . Problem is you need to search the archives . Go back many years and all the info you need is here . I say the archives because seems to me this site drastically changed in the last 6-7 years as far as info. Its almost humorous some will take on here nowadays NOT to tell you anything about their trip . Some good pics nowadays but thats about it .
