My 20 horse mercury 4 stroke has been acting up. Poker up fuel line, pump up bulb, hit primer once or twice, pull choke and hit starter. Cranks and fails to start. Seems flooded. Fuel film on water. Open throttle and after too much cranking it starts. Rev it to clean out further fuel but when I idle down to reengage shifter it dies. Repeat 4 or 5 times. Finally get it moving and it dies. Couple more repeats and gets going. Runs across lake and when I slow, it dies. Long intro to my question....where do I take it?? I am in jonesboro but will drive to get it fixed. Thanks for any suggesti9ns.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.

Mine did that a couple years ago. Poured in a can of sea foam and after running for a while it was fine. Don’t know if it will work for you but don’t cost much to try.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Sea foam pretty good stuff. It fixed my lawnmower.
I now add it to each can of gas.
I took my 90hp Mercury to Rothwell Marine in Hope. They did a great & fast job on it. You're not close to Hope, though, so you can probably find someone closer. Good luck.
