I have a 10 foot pelican scamp and love it. Fish out of it more than my big boat.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on the purchase of a good 2-man or 1-man fishing boat?
Nothing like them FILLETS wrapped in your favorite Cornmeal Jackets...:D

Weight is the issue, need to figure out if ur going to load it in the back of of ur truck or haul it on a trailer. I had a basshunter that was incredible and I could load in my truck by myself.

I've seen advertisements for the twin troller. Looks pretty good to me.

I have the Pelican Bass Raider 10. Love it. My son and I fish in it. We both hit 250#. I honestly don't think you can turn this thing over. We use a 40# trolling motor.
I have an 8 foot Sun Dolphin two man scamp, I really like the boat and the price was fairly cheap got it for $500 with no tax and free shipping via Home Depot. I have a 2.5hp Suzuki outboard on it and use a 30# Minn Kota trolling motor, great little rig for fishing smaller lakes, ponds or hitting the flooded back waters of the big lakes. A lot of good brands out there, like the bass hunters, Bass Pro pond prowlers etc. Depends on the expectations of the use of the boat I guess, the pro to the one I chose was the lightweight, at 100# I can load it and unload from the bed of my pickup. I have fished from the boat 25 times or more and only launched two or three times off pavement or a ramp. Usually it's launched from the water's edge in grass, dirt or mud and didn't want a trailer. If your fishing two men mostly I would suggest going up to a 10' boat, and if launching from ramps or accessible landings as well, the 8 foot boat is cramped with two men and gear. Stable little boats that's for sure, handle rougher water better then a 16' jon boat I used to fish from.
