Im taking the day off since weekends are always covered. For you local guys should I hit Dardanelle or Brewer?

Wasn't the tagged fish contest over on July 31st?
I lost more fish 10 feet from the boat than any other outing in my 50 years. It was very frustrating. I chalked it up to keeping my new (first outing) Terrova troller running while I was trying to land them. Its a game changer coming from my old 15 year old cable motor guide. The 16' B&M Power Trollers (also new) are beasts matched with the Shakespeare open face line counters. 3 oz. a crank and they were barely tweaked at all, stretched straight out in front of the boat giving maximum distance. They wanted the crawdad crank in the morning badly, (wish I had 4 of them.) caught my first four fish with it. No shad or chartreuse produced fish. I did catch a few on a bright pink. It shut off around 10AM with the cranks and the jigs started bringing them in. Could have brought home 20, but had to settle with 11, enough for dinner though. Brewer has turned into Bass boat central, more people burning gas than fishing. Next time I will keep heading west to Dard.
