    Default DYI Spider rig

Well she might not be pretty but since I’m just starting out spider rigging and on a budget, figured I’d build my own. $40 invested and she’s ready to roll! Name: IMG_4982.jpg

    Good job. It will work.
If we did what was most important in life there would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles

I have not used a spider rig on my boat in years . But you can make your own with 4'' heavy PVC pipe

Yessir I had thought about the pvc pipe but decided to go with this set up. 1/2” threaded rod, a 1”x1” square aluminum tubing, cheap $4 rod holders from academy, and a 1/2in threaded star base. A few nuts and lock washers.

For those who are a little handy with a hole saw and a table saw you can build your own with heavy 4'' pvc pipe. They are inexpensive to make. I made these several years ago and kept them in the shop attic after I quit trolling. Most know here I strictly jig fish these days. They won't rust or rot and fully adjustable. You need a bolt and wing nut to make them easy to adjust.
Forgive the dust as they have been stored a long time. Thought it might help some on a budget build their own holders.]
