if Crape Myrtle tops would work for crappie structure? Looks like they would work great if it doesn't rot under water.

Heard that it's hard to beat cannabis stalks last about as long as bamboo but fish are always hungry

Never used Crape myrtle, but did use Bradford pear once and I fished for 3 years, most productive top I put out in that 3 year time frame.

I found some big trunks off Crape Myrtle last year and put them in buckets of quickcrete . Have them sunk in a good area . We will see this spring .

We trimmed back a huge fig bush a couple of years ago and I sank those limbs. Have caught fish there several times since. I think they'll come to just about anything. I was catching some at Greeson a couple of years ago and I brought up a green holly leaf on my jig. I don't think it matters very much.

I'm more wondering how long it will last underwater.
Seems like the tops would be really easy to cut off at the "knuckle"
and put in a bucket w/quickcrete or tie to a concrete block.

I use wax myrtles. They work just fine. I just wire a cinder block to the trunk.
