Default Any suggestion on were to fish around Hot Springs or Mount Ida

I will be in AR. next weekend picking my daughter for camp. I thinking about pulling my boat or if yall know of any place to rent a boat for the day and trying to squeeze in a quick trip and see what it like to fish some deep water. Any advice would be appreciated.

You will be right at lake Ouachita in that area. It is a deep clear lake & one of my favorites. You should be able to catch some nice bream on deep water points while you are here. Just tight line a worm on a splitshot straight over the side. I usually start at the deepest part of the point & work my way shallower until I find them. There are Corp camp grounds that are really nice if a camp night might be in the plans.

Hit Docks on Hamilton with a slip bobber and Bobby Garland in Char color in the Shade. Make sure a creek channel is not far off docks. Check Navionics.com to see the channel depths and locations. Hill Wheatley park boat launch.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately my wife put a little damper on me and wants to go to the diamond mine so that would only leave me Friday morning to fish. I am not going to drag a boat 16 hours and worry about my gear for a half day. Fish docks is my favorite way to fish. I bet it is fun in deep water. I am sure my daughter will go to camp next year and I will try to plan a little better.

Look at it this way, maybe you will find enough diamonds to pay for next year's fishing trip.

You better take some cold water on your diamond search adventure. It'll be rather warm over there out in the August sun. You're not far at all from Lake Greeson when you're in Murfreesboro diamond hunting. GTT
