My reading came off trolling motor transducer about 18'' deep , turn off the one on transom cause it is only inches under the surface .
The transducer on my trolling motor read just slightly warmer than the one on the Jack plate. On my Bass Cat the LSS-2 transducer is almost as deep as the Down imaging transducer on the trolling motor since it is mounted to the jack plate with a transducer shield.
