    Cool Loop knot

I have studied drawing, had friends show me their way, but my old eyes and hand have trouble seeing and holding the loops and twists! So had to find my way. I use a 4 penny nail put line through jig eye then tie a square knot with nail inside it on jig eye lube pull tight and another square knot lube pull tight remove nail cut off loose end. Works for me try it.

Can relate to the '' not see'n part '' . I don't use loop knot but still can tie clinch knot without looking once I get line through the eye of the hook .

Here's the one we all use.....the one my dad taught me to tie some 40+ years ago. He said he learned it from watching Jerry McKinnis on Arkansas Outdoors back in the '60s. Anyway, here's a link to it. GTT

Heck yeah......that's how I catch all those 20+ lb. sea crappie. Big tackle=Big Fish, right? I think he used big hook and big line so the camera would see it better, but then again he said he used it to catch tarpon. Come on, Man.......use your imagination.......same knot, but with 6 lb. test and 1/16 oz lead heads.
    GTT

you aren't supposed to smack them with it. I always go through the loop 2-3 times before snugging it up. I also try to make a smaller loop.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
