Was is a turnover or phytoplankton bloom or zooplankton bloom? I got reports last week of a phytoplankton bloom in the upper part of the lake.

Best I can tell it was a algae bloom, I was out there Saturday and Sunday, Some of the most lime green colored water I have seen on Conway in spots. Fishing was decent both Saturday and Sunday. I was BASS Fishing ad there were a few biting. Saw some perch jerkers filling their live wells. Catching bream about as fast as they could reel them in.

Probably talking about Chuck? I drove around the lake this afternoon and checked out the lake. Definitely an algae bloom. Unfortunately some of it may be cyanocobalamin bacteria (bluegreen algae). This isn't the good kind of phytoplankton. I'm going to collect some samples and ID the species under a microscope. Then I can confirm.
