I plan to head that way in the morning. I know it is going to be hot & will put them in the shade. Hope to find a few of those magic trees. More than likely I'll do my usual thing of fishing 9367 trees for the day. But you know what? I'll be fishing.
Go get em Pac!! Just think, it won't be long you will be looking at different trees and have your bow in hand.

Got to the ramp at daylight & put 2 keepers in the boat on the 1st brush pile I tried. What a great start. Then until 8 pm it was short fish after short fish with a rare keeper now & then. I ended up with 6 keepers & went home happy, hot & exhausted but I had enough for two meals. A few bites were serious thumps but the majority were very light. I hooked some kind of sea monster but lost him in a log or something. I don't know what it was but that rascal did some pulling! I'm guessing a catfish.
It was without a doubt hot. I brought 2 jugs of water with me to combat the heat. At 8:30 I noticed a leak in one jug so I decided I should drink that half gallon even though I wasn't thirsty yet. I had a whole gallon of water left but as hot as it would get I didn't know if it would last the rest of the day. I figured I could ask a homeowner for a refill if necessary. The water was hot too. The fish shouldn't be greasy on the plate because they were definitely pre-boiled.
