Docks, and just when you think you have fished enough docks, fish a few more and look for brush piles around them. Good Luck
I have tons of structure waypoints marked via AGFC site, but I don't know where the best or even a good area to start is. Anyone know of great Crappie areas here?

Thanks. There definitely isn't a shortage of docks over there. Im wondering if most of the AGFC marked structure spots are timber or stakes beds, maybe both?
I made a few trips over there this past feb when the lake was still drawn down. Seemed like the outside part of the docks that were about 15 feet deep held fish but i never caught a cooler full or anything. You'll get hung up a lot fishin those docks so take plenty of tackle! Also, if the dock says no fishin it seemed to hold fish😎
Well Hamilton kicked my butt. Fished 3 days in a row, several coves loaded with docks and quite a few structure spots with no fish that I could see on them. Picked up a few nice Bluegill, but only got one Crappie and several dink Bass. I know post spawn can be tough, but it was disappointing as I had anticipated this trip for a few weeks and didn't take any fillets with me to cook.
Talked to one of the local "better known" guides at the bait shop and he said he only caught one while prospecting and was headed out to fish for hybrid Bass. Maybe I should have done the same. I know there are tons of large Crappie in that lake, but I couldnt find them. Lots of Bass boats roaming the banks and never saw one catch anything. Maybe early July will be better when I get to go there again.
It's a tough lake. Will be hard fishing in July with all the pleasure boats that will be there. Good luck.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Fished yesterday morning and only caught 3 and that was at first light. Haven't caught any since. Caught a couple bass this morning.
