Thread: Lake Wind Advisory Pond Fishing

When your son is dying to go fishing and Momma won't let him on the boat due to strong winds, it's time to hit up a pond. Luckily I have permission to fish (and release) a pond down the road from my in laws. So we hit up Mr. Stan's pond after church and the fish were hungry and guarding nests. Jacob used crickets and I used a black 1/32 ounce horse head with a the smallest sized black Charlie Brewer Slider that they make. It was on! We caught big bluegull, readear, crappie, small bass, and a good chanel cat. I knew we had caught a bunch when Jacob quit fishing and starting turning over rocks on the ponds edge. Pretty good day of bank fishing.
