Default Favorite Time of Year to Chase Crappie?

What is yall's favorite time of the year to chase crappie? I prefer the fall seems like less people on the water and the fish are bunched up a little better.

I like fishing all seasons. I don't like strong winds, extremely hot or cold. I can say that anytime I can go when the wind is not too bad I will go.

Spring time is my favorite. Like to catch them single pole jigging in the grass & pads.

Anytime for me, except when it is unsafe or to windy. Love fall and spring.

I fish all year but beginning to love winter fishing . Way less crowds and fish more bunched up if you can stand the cold .

I agree with Nimrod...Winter time for me also. Crappie are bunched up, and weather is not as windy and stormy as spring time. Oh! I almost forgot, less people to piss you off. You will get the best parking spots at the ramp without having to walk a mile to your truck after a long day in the boat. You don't have to rub on sun burn protection, or drink gallons of water. Also the crappie meat is not soft and mussy, their good and firm. I'm have had a heat stroke before, so winter fishing I don't have to worry about over heating. That's what I think about it, and I'm sticking to it....
