When I was a kid growing up in Colorado I hooked a small yellow perch and had a northern pike eat it. I caught both but the perch was shredded.

When we were kids, my buddy had two or three bream on a chain stringer, and when he pulled it up to leave there was about a three pound largemouth on it.

Was trot lining with my dad and baiting with beef liver. We got to the last line and had a piece of liver about 1.5 inches wide and 8 or 10 inches long left and just tossed it in the river. The next morning we had a nice catfish with a bulging belling and when we cleaned it, we found the large piece of liver we discarded after baiting. Just goes to show that greed doesn't pay.

The below fish caught on a minner. It seems to show that a fish will gorge when food is available.

Ouch! The merciful thing to do is filet the catfish. No one should have to go through life with a crappie jig hanging out of their rectum.

About 5 years ago my wife and I were fishing lake Monticello. We was'nt catching anything so I decided to move spots. As I'm slowing making my way out of the creek arm something catches my eye moving and floating on top of the water so I shut the motor down ran to the trolling motor. As I got closer I was able to make out what it was so I told my wife hand me the net. I scooped up a 8.6 pound largemouth with a crappie bigger than the size of my hand lodged in its throat. It took me awhile to get the crappie out of its throat and that's when I weighted her 8.6 pounds I'll never forget that lol

My dad was running his trot lines on Greers Ferry a couple of years ago and noticed something floating near him. So he motored over to check it out. It was about a 50lb catfish with about a 5lb walleye stuck in his mouth. I guess it couldn't swallow it, then it got hung up and ultimately killed the catfish.
