Default Don't forget our senior citizens who used to fish .

On Sunday I took one of my mother's friends a gallon bag of fresh Crappie fillets . She was so happy and loves fish . She lost her husband last year and I always took them fish once they got unable to fish . I try to spread the wealth with all our seniors that are unable to go fishing anymore . Love to see folks enjoy the fruits of my labor of love . I prefer not to clean fish every trip but these older folks not able i don't mind . The ones able to usually will clean their own , just pleased to get them . Pass it on , we may be in their shoes one day .

I try to share too. I attended a funeral two weeks ago for my longtime friend and preacher, I used to take him and his wife some fillets. Thanks for the reminder CA.

So true. We all have a purpose here on earth and I like to think the gift of me being able to harvest fish/animals is one of mine so I make sure to share the fruits of my labor with the less fortunate.

Great idea to give fish to seniors. We have some younger families in our church that love to eat fish that we donate too frequently. Most of those guys don't own boats and work long hours and just don't have the opportunity to fish. To Nimrod's point, it really does feel good to share the bounty.

I pass on the filets quite a bit, especially to the guy who sold us our place at college mound, who loves fish but can't sit in boat because of nerve pain and he cuts our grass for us and watches it. plus the cranky neighbor who can't hardly walk but talked about going fishing and the mind picture I had of him hurting himself had me going to freezer for couple bags for him. plus all my kids and to those who love it but don't have opportunity to go.

it does feel good and people appreciate it.
