    Default Mount transducer?


    What would you do...mount to breakaway? Will be a humminbird SI ducer. Sorry image loaded sideways

    I would mount to breakaway, or get one of those transducer mounting blocks to go on the transom.

    I'd mount it to the transom.
    We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

    I second this. I just installed their Spring Back Bracket to the transom. I also puchased an Armor Plate that protects the transducer from side to side and front and back impacts. They aren't cheap but they are a lot cheaper than a new SI transducer.

    I glued (jb weld marine stuff) a block of polyethelyne to the lower part of the transom because i just couldnt bring myself to put screws in it. Then i mounted the transducer bracket to the block.
