Fish the piers. Dock shooting, jigging or cast and retrieve. Call me when the fish are done!!!! I only live about 10-15 minutes from there.
Ok guys, me and 5 of my buddies are planning a short trip to horseshoe lake to do some fishing. We are renting a house and staying from February 20 - February 22. We are going to try a little of everything. We are going to run some yo-yos at night, troll during the day. Shoot docks if needed. Mostly just going to get away before we all get really busy with work during the spring and summer. I've only been to horseshoe once with no luck, so what might be some things to try about that time frame. We're not looking to fill the freezers, just would like to catch enough fish to fry up our last night. Will bring plenty of bologna for supper though just in case. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I haven't fished it in a good while but my barber lives there. He said they have been catching fish off the docks and
trolling for a couple of weeks.
Tell'em I'll be there.
So obviously not all the docks will produce, as bad as it seems just follow the boats. I fished HS 2 weekends ago and one of the docks we fished at one time had 7 boats fishing it. The trick is to find the docks with the sunken trees, if you're not fishing sunken trees you won't do much good (at least we didn't) but when we did find em it was on fire. Good Luck!
I've caught tons of fish at The Shoe this time of year trolling. I haven't been there in years and only live 10-15 minutes from there. Lots of good fish to be caught, but seems like I always head to Sippi now.
