    I am new to the area and would like to know if anyone out there has any info on the crappie fishing on either Millwood or Little River or any other lakes around the Hope or Emmet area. Thanks

    First, welcome to crappie.com.
    I have never fished that area, but Millwood has been known to produce some nice coolers of fish. There should be some information you could find with the search function.

    Welcome to the site...On Millwood start your adventure at the Jack's Island river landings at either Yarborough Landing or Blue Water Bayou park, for me the best fishing is where the Jacks Island river flows into MillWood at the mouth, you can spider rig the areas just outside the masses of cypress or up in the river or jig the live cypress trees great fishing and one of the best lakes in the state. did well on White n Chart Midsouth tubes Jigging the trees there years ago. With a little work you should be catching crappie there in no time. Watch out for Gators. Good Luck.

    Welcome, never fished down there, drove by Millwood many of times thinking it looked very crappie, my deer camp is Hope lots of deer and hogs down there if the fish ain't bitting
