Good job
Went out on the river again and had a decent day. Water temp was 46 degrees and the fish were very active. Caught most in 10 FOW fishing about 3 foot deep. White was the prefered color. I probably threw 30 back because the freezer is already jam packed with crappie.
Bonus Blacknose/Magnolia Crappie
Good job
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Nice mess of fish. I think we fish the same stretch of river and I can catch a few for dinner but I never can seem to wear em out like that.

Lately I've been using a slip bobber rig with two jigs, each a different color until I notice a pattern. The reason I use the bobber is the fish seem to want the jig almost sitting still.
Here's something I've not been able to figure out yet- here you are catching fish in 10 FOW fishing 3 ft deep. I thought crappie went deep during the winter??
I thought the same but maybe it's different in a river system versus a lake but I'm no expert by any means. I have been catching them shallow all winter long.
I have officially given up on trying to make any sense of locating crappie.
Congrats!
Great job!

Congratulations on a fine day of fishing. I may just have to try the river some when the days get longer
