    Default Lake Maumelle

So I went out last Saturday Dec 31st around 10 am with the intent to just break in the New Suzuki on this Ranger 1760 mpv out on the supposed "Dead Sea"..... Lake Maumelle. But While cruising round this Cold and very wet foggy misty morning, I ran across a ball of some fish on the Hummingbird. They were in 15 FOW with the bottom around 25. I looped back around and went over them again just to make sure, and Bam !! there they still were !! So I Threw out a marker and turned back around dropped the Minn Kota and fished for the very first time outta this new boat. I was casting Bobby Garland Char and pink counting down. It quickly turned into a WAR ZONE !!! I ended up catching 53 Crappie and 11 black bass in just a few hours. Of course the Bass were quickly returned back to the depths along with the "Didn't measure up" crappie. So in the end....the good Lord blessed me with 19 keepers of at least 10" that went into the new livewell. You can see some floaters from being so deep and brought up quickly. Now Boy was that a surprise !! What a way to break in the new Rig!!

Wow, what a way to break in the new boat! Sounds like lots of good times to come. Which Humminbird did you get on it? Sounds like you figured it out quick.

Hummingbird Helix 5. It has a 3d look to the down image. I saw the side of Guard Railing on the old sunken hi-way 10 bridge. That was cool....
