Thanks for sharing your story . Congrats on a fine catch and your neighbor for his kindness .
This is a short story about a friend for two years I have been battling melanoma cancer but thanks to Gods grace and a lot of doctors and caregivers and family I am cancer free but my fishing has taken a huge setback and for the last 3months I may have caught 12 crappie but I have been slowly working back in the gruve just could not get a handle on the fish made several trips out on the lake with no results everybody was catching fish but I could not whether it was old age or chemo brain it just was not happening for me got depressed but kept fishing . My fish camp neighbor knew I was having trouble and took two days of his Christmas vacation and spent it with me on the lake his boat his truck his time his brain 89 slabs in two trips. I am so thankful for friends god and family and just so glad to be here.

Glad to hear your feeling better. Nothing like good friends and family to enjoy a fishing trip with. It sounds like a fish fry is in somebodies future.
Awesome.

Praise, honor and glory be to God for restoring your health. Thanks also to those involved in your recovery and to your gracious neighbor for giving of his time to lift a fellow fisherman's spirits. Tight lines friend and may your live well always be full.
